Actually, today it's quite a lazy post: I'm preparing an illustration (the Chanel Byzantine collection for Pre-Fall 2011 inspired me. A lot.) but I have many problems to solve before posting it. I have to finish it (just bought some basic tools), find a scanner in some shops (before 6 PM. In Belgium at 6 PM the world ends and you can't pretend to buy anything that is not food or alcohol or cigarettes. Ah-ah-ah very nice.) and complete it (this is a surprise...).
I sincerely hope it will succeed, because I could never bear the embarrassment of telling you "Errr... I don't have any drawing in the end... It was a mess... can we talk about the weather??" after all this anticipation.
Anyway, today I am in a very Christmas mood so I wanted to show you the tiny decorations that I have at home (no X-mas tree though, sigh) to give a festive feel also to the blog!
And I'm so curious about other people's X-mas decoration, if I could I would ask everyone who pass by to post their pics!
I don't think it's possible, but if you want you can leave some pic links in your comment, I would love it! *curious girl*

And now... my babieees!!! I bought them a week ago at amazon and now they're finally arrived!!
I can't afford a course right now (my job is too time-consuming and going to the gym possibly at least 2 times a week is already a very big effort) so the easiest solution is to buy books!
I just read them quickly but they're really useful: full of examples, step-by-step drawing techniques for figure and clothes (and since I've always been drawing almost only feminine figures fashion drawing book are the best) and a lot of colouring advice. They have similar content but I found useful things in only one of the two and vice-versa ("drawing for fashion designers" is more on coloring techniques and clothes texture representation, while "contemporary fashion illustration techniques", has more tips to draw figures and clothes with pencil and step-by-step examples) so it's nice to have both.
So, now I go to try finish my drawing and hope to come back soon to post it.
Have a nice (festive!) week-end!
Al

I also want to show you my Italian home decorations, those are amazing! Me and my mother gathered decorations in something like 15 years, we were really picky and only went to the elegant department stores... ahhh I so loved those moments... nostalgy :'(
