| The style of les parisiennes is able to make me freak out even more than the Londoner's.... argh!! |
Yes, as you may understand from the title of this post, I am going to Paris.
Don't misunderstand me, I am usually not lucky enough to travel this often (Italian week-ends with family aside) but this time it happens that I have to go to Paris just after I came back from London and honestly I couldn't be happier.
So friday night I'm hopping on the train and I'll be back on Sunday (for secret reasons ahahah... I'll tell you next week but no, anything that has to do with something super-cool like fashion weeks and the like... I guess it was not so difficult to imagine, ahah).
So this tiny post just to tell you that I'll be back here just on monday or tuesday: I'll be very busy until Friday because I have to finish my presentation (a one hour-long presentation for the department meeting, the most boring thing ever but I have to...) and then I'll leave so I'll see you in a few days... I'll miss you!! ahahah
If you have any suggestions for restaurants, nice places to see and cafés please tell me!!
I leave you with some pics and songs to put you in a Parisian mood as much as I am...

The Air are my favourite French musicians (and I love their French accent when they speak english!):
I love the album "5:55" from Charlotte Gainsbourg (in fact, the Air wrote the music).
Bises!!
Al

J'adore, j'adore Paris!! Pompidou for art, St. Honore (specifically Manoush) for shopping, and Hotel Costes for after dinner drinks and chill house music :) Have the best time darling.
ReplyDeletecherry blossom girl by air - one of my air favourites!
ReplyDeletewhat can i say, other than - have a great trip! :) xo
@Meag: my favourite area above all is the Marais... for the shopping is sublime, but also for food, little old shops, museums (the Musée Picasso is there), architecture.... ahhh I love it!! And Saint-Germain! And I adore Pompidou too! Ahhh I can't wait, every time I go to Paris my heart bumps! :D
ReplyDelete@Kazuko: I will, thank you my dear!! (didn't have any doubt that you liked cherry blossom girl :p)
Hi Al!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the joy through your writing! I've suggested some ideas on my blog. I do not think you have time to do everything, but I would like to advise you also have two cafes which is just 2 minutes walk from the Jardin du Luxembourg, they are beautiful stylish and fun. You can not miss them!
Enjoy your weekend! bisous! :)
This is my lil' contribution! ;)
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup pour tes conseils Gigi!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of these two cafés near the Jardin du Luxembourg exactly? I want to try them!
The first time I went to Paris with Tommy we had a little apartment in the 14e too, near Alésia station :-) but from what you said your home sounds nearer to the centre and Montparnasse, right?
Bises!!!
ahah!:) you've been near Alésia Station? It's funny, i'm living on Avenue du Maine, it's between Alésia and Montparnasse :) This avenue is very long!
ReplyDeleteAbout my suggestion ... One of these cafés is named "Café Le Luxembourg", based on Boulevard St Michel and the other is "Buvette des Marionnettes du Jardin du Luxembourg" based on rue Vaugirard, a great café too!
Hope you'll enjoy them! ;)
Bisou!
Paris in the springtime! What an absolute dream.
ReplyDeleteBon voyage!

@Gigi: thanks again!! If I go in that area I'll stop by for sure (especially the second one seems nice, I checked on the internet: it is in the park!)
ReplyDelete@Kelsey: Merci! ;-)
Paris is always a dream, whatever season... I love it! But it's true spring is the best... It's a pity that now it'll be still cold but they say that it will be sunny... let' hope! :D
