So, imagine the scene.
A girl in an ugly, grey, dark building from the 60s, in the middle of a University Hospital, at the monochrome highway-irrorated periphery of the city.
It is raining and the sky is darker than normal, covered with black clouds ready to cry. She's just arrived at work and she's having her breakfast coffee in front of the computer. She checks her email and looks out of the window and feel overwhelmed by the sad, cold and grey morning.
So, before getting the working day started, she wants to look at some beauty. She checks Vogue.co.uk and some other magazines.
And she finds a miracle. Everywhere is a full, beautiful, powerful burst of color.
The pure colors: yellow, pink, blue, orange, green. Red. Color blocking, color matching, color mixing.
Sonia Rykiel, Christopher Kane, Loewe, Prada, Marc Jacobs it's a world of colors that makes a ray of sun shine through the windows of the grey office and makes her feel happy and empowered.
Ahhh fashion, what can it do... It is like a Vitamin concentrate, I tell you.
But now there's the risk of feeling depressed again: who can afford all the beautiful, colorful pieces from the wonderful designers I quoted above?
Don't worry, there's ASOS for that!
From their Spring summer 2011 preview it seems that they came out with a pretty good collection (online from February). Here's my pick from their lookbook:
Oh God, who can wait another 4 months until spring now??
Running to cook some (colorful) pasta for dinner!
Have a nice evening, and if you have time have a look at the runway reportages and take some fashion vitamins together with me!

PS: I don't know if I love this drawing or I hate it. I wanted to give the impression of colors without too harsh shapes but I don't know if I succeeded. What do you think? (honestly!)
